Ranchi, June 15: A couple were killed on charges of practicing black magic in Jharkhand’s Khuti district.
According to Police, around 15 to 20 people raided house Sapari Munda 50 on early Friday. He was killed by sharp edged weapon. His wife tried to escape. She was caught and beheaded.
His son, two daughters and one grandson were beaten up brutally. The incident took place at Dadigama village of Khuti district.
The dead bodies have been sent for post-mortem. Police have recorded statement of the family members and launched operation to arrest the accused people.
In Jharkhand more than 700 people majority of them women have been killed since creation of the state in 2000 on charges of practicing black magic.
ON Tuesday aunty of Deputy Superintendent of Police of Gumla district Anuj Oran was killed onn charges of witchcraft.
