Coronavirus tally reaches 1,11,931 as 209 cases found on Tuesday

Ranchi: The Coronavirus tally in the state on Tuesday reached 1,11,931 as 209 cases of Covid-19 were detected across 19 districts of  Jharkhand.

During the day, 1 death was reported from Ranchi district as a result of which the overall death count has reached 1001. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.89 percent.

As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 1,578 while the number of cured and discharged cases stood at 1,09,352. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 1001.

On Tuesday a maximum number of 98 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 38 in East Singhbhum, 15 in Dhanbad, 14 in Bokaro and 8 in Ramgarh (top five districts).

A total of number of 211 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 113 from Ranchi, 24 from East Singhbhum, 21 from Dhanbad, 10 from Bokaro and 7 from Khunti district.

Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once gone above 97 percent mark to currently stand at 97.69 percent in Jharkhand.

So far in the state 45,44,788 samples have been collected out of which 45,33,044 have been tested and 44,21,113 have turned out to be negative.
