Ranchi: The Coronavirus tally on Thursday breached the 10,000 mark as the number of cases detected so far in the state was concerned and along with that the overall death toll figures also went beyond 100.
On Thursday 371 cases of Coronavirus were detected across the 23 districts of Jharkhand following which overall tally has now reached to 10,399.
During the day 3 deaths were reported including 1 each from Ranchi, West Singhbhum and Lohardaga districts after which the overall death count has gone up to 103 in the state. The increase in fatalities has increased the mortality rate to 0.99 percent.
As per the data provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 6,120 while the number of cured and discharged cases stood at 4,176. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 103.
During the day a maximum number of 81 cases were detected in the Bokaro district followed by 71 in Ranchi, 50 in West Singhbhum and 42 in Giridih district.
26 cases were found in Simdega, 22 in East Singhbhum and 10 cases in Palamu district. Further 9 cases were detected in Ramgarh, 7 in Sahebganj, 6 each in Deoghar, Hazaribagh and Koderma districts while 5 cases were also found in East Singhbhum district on Thursday.
4 cases each were reported from Dumka, Garhwa and Gumla districts while 3 cases each were found in Godda, Khunti, Latehar, Lohardaga and Saraikela districts, 2 cases in Jamtara and 1 in Pakur district was also found during the day. Chatra turned out to be the only district where no cases were found during the day.
On Thursday a total of 115 people were cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities in the state including 48 from Giridih followed by 21 from Palamu and 20 from East Singhbhum districts. Further 14 patients from Koderma and 4 each from Bokaro, Dumka and Hazaribagh also defeated Coronavirus and returned back to their homes.
Due to the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has plummeted further to 40.16 percent in Jharkhand.
So far in the state 2,96,806 samples have been collected out of which 2,86,178 have been tested and 2,75,779 have turned out to be negative.
The data further pointed out that number of travellers under surveillance and asymptomatic was at 5,596 while people those who have completed 28 days of compulsory observation stood at 4,333. The number of people in facility quarantine was at 5,892 while those in home quarantine was 2,43,150.
