Congress in Jharkhand to take out tractor rally on January 31: Badal

Ranchi: The ruling Congress Party has decided to take out a tractor rally on January 31st against the agriculture laws.

Addressing a Press Conference at Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee headquarters Agriculture minister Badal said that the rally will start from Kargil Chowk of Godda district and will go to Shahid Sthal located at Rohini of Deoghar district.

He said that through this Gandhian mode of protest the voices of the farmer from Shaheed Sthal in Rohini will be taken in to the rulers residing in Raisina Hills. He said that the rally will be held peacefully and in a democratic manner as its main purpose is to draw the attention of the central government towards the issues of the farmers.

He said that concerns of the farmers is not taken to the centre than the future generations will not be able to forgive them. He said that in the event which will be held in Godda JPCC chief Dr Rameshwar Oraon, leader of legislature wing Aalamgir Aalam, Minister Satyanand Bhokta, MLAs of the party and alliance partners will also be participating.

Badal said that the farmers and people of Jharkhand in full strength will come out on the roads against the Agriculture laws. He said that to ensure the success of tractor rally meetings have been held in Barkagaon and Khunti and later it will be held in Giridih, Koderma and Chatra.

Over the incidents of January 26 which took place at Red Fort of the nation capital he said that the farmers had been sitting on agitation for the last two months but nothing had happened however how a group turned violent is a matter of probe and urged the supreme court to take self cognisance of the matter and order a judicial probe.
