Congress happy on relief to Rahul Gandhi, House passes two bills

Ranchi: Congress MLAs expressed happiness over the reinstatement of Rahul Gandhi’s membership in the House as soon as the assembly proceedings started after the lunch break.

Then the Congress made scathing attacks on the BJP.

Congress MLAs said that the Supreme Court has made it clear that the central government had deliberately killed democracy.

After this, the Jharkhand University of Health Sciences Bill 2023 was placed in the House by the in-charge minister Banna Gupta.

Which was passed by the house.

At the same time, in-charge Finance Minister Rameshwar Jharkhand Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill 2023 was introduced.

This bill was also passed by the House.

However, the BJP MLAs opposed the appointment of the Vice-Chancellor as the Chief Minister.

He said that there will be a dispute and a clash between the Raj Bhavan and the CMO.

Amar Bawari said that this is being brought to demolish the governor and the federal system.

Banna Gupta said that we are people with advance planning.

Three health, sports and technical university bills were brought in the NDA government in Bihar, whose vice-chancellor has been made the chief minister, which is a strange thing.

Banna Gupta said that he protests here and brings the policy himself.

A hearing was held in the Supreme Court today on the petition seeking a stay on the sentence awarded to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the Modi surname case.

Justice BR Gavai, Justice PS Narasimha and Justice Sanjay Kumar’s bench has banned the sentence of 2 years while giving relief to Rahul Gandhi.

After the suspension of the sentence, the way may be clear for Rahul Gandhi to get back his parliamentary membership.

The Supreme Court said that the trial court judge had not given any reason for awarding the maximum sentence.

Therefore, the order of conviction is stayed till the final decision is taken.
