Dhanbad: A youth involved in the coal business was shot dead under mysterious conditions in Vikash Nagar under the Bank More police station of the coal city. The police officer said that the incident occurred between 1.30 am to 2 am on the intervening night of Sunday-Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Md Shahbaz (32). After getting the information, the Bank More police reached the spot. Shahbaz was immediately taken to the Central Hospital Jagjivan Nagar of Bharat Coking coal Limited (BCCL) where he succumbed to his injury during treatment.
Shahbaz, a resident of Naya Bazaar, was shot in his waist near the house cum office of his coal business partner Pappu Mandal in Vikash Nagar. No one saw the shooter. Local residents informed the police about the incident.
