CM to pay tribute to the martyrs on Hul Diwas

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren will visit Bhognadih on the 167th anniversary of Santal Hul. Chief Minister Hemant Soren will pay homage at the birthplace of martyr Sidhu- Kanhu. A grand event will be organized.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren will reach Barharwa by Ranchi-Bhagalpur Vananchal Express from Ranchi Railway Station at 7.20 pm on June 29 evening. Chief Minister Hemant Soren will arrive at Barharwa railway station at 5:50 am on June 30. From here CM Soren will reach Dharampur residence in Patna block where he will rest. He will reach Martyr’s place in Panchkathia at around 12:10.
After paying homage to

Sidhu-Kanhu, he will reach Bhognadih at 12:55. He Will garland the martyr’s statue in Bhognadih. After meeting the descendants of the martyr he will participate in various government programs. Chief Minister Hemant Soren will leave for Ranchi by Bhagalpur-Ranchi Vananchal Express from Barharwa Railway Station at 10 pm.

Santhal Hul was the first war of independence. Along with the four brothers Sidhu, Kanhu, Chand and Bhairav, Phulo and Jhano fought fiercely with the British and Mahajans in 1855.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren said on several occasions that Santal Hul did not get a place in history. Historians of that time did not give place to the sacrifice of Sidhu-Kanhu. The rebellion of 1857 has been considered as the first war of independence.
