Ranchi: In order to provide better transport service to the people of rural areas of the state Hemant Soren government is going to launch Mukhyamantri Gram Gaadi Yojana-2022.
This scheme is likely to be launched by the Chief Minister himself in the mega asset distribution camp to be organized in Giridih on 12th October. Before launching this scheme of the Transport Department approval will be taken from the cabinet.
According to departmental sources, the proposal of the Chief Minister’s Village Vehicle Scheme can be approved in the Hemant Soren cabinet meeting to be held on Monday. The mega asset camp is to be organized under the ‘Aapki Sarkar-Aapke Adhikar-Aapke Dwar’ program. In this camp, the distribution of assets among the beneficiaries of many schemes will also be done by the Chief Minister.
Apart from that approval can be given on many important proposals in the cabinet. This includes getting approval on the proposal to increase the dearness allowance of state employees which will benefit more than 3.25 lakh government employees and pensioners of the state.
Dearness allowance will be increased by 4 percent under the proposal. Out of 3.25 lakh employees, 1.90 lakh government employees and officers and about 1.35 lakh pensioners are included. At present this dearness allowance is 34 percent, which will be increased to 38 percent.
The hike in dearness allowance will be applicable from July 1. It is discussed that with the arrears of three months, the payment of increased DA in the salary and pension of November will be possible.
By bringing Mukhyamantri Gram Gaadi Yojana, youth will be encouraged to drive on rural roads and connect them with self-employment. Beneficiaries of ST, SC, minority and OBC categories will get the benefit of this.
The government will also give subsidies on interest on buying a vehicle. A provision of Rs 20 crore has also been made for interest subsidy. In the scheme, the government will also encourage private bus operators.
