CM Soren vows to fulfil Dishom Guru’s dreams, discharges administrative duties

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren is navigating one of the most difficult periods of his life after the death of his father, Dishom Guru Shibu Soren. The pain, he says, has not eased, even five days after the loss. Yet, from his ancestral home in Nemra, Ramgarh, he continues to carry out both family rituals and the responsibilities of governing the state.

Soren remains engaged with administrative work, ensuring there is no disruption in governance. He has been reviewing important files, holding regular discussions with senior officials, and directing them to maintain urgency in resolving public grievances. He has asked them to keep him updated at all times and to avoid any lapses in government functioning.

The chief minister said the solidarity shown by the people of Jharkhand during this period of grief has given him the strength to fulfil his duties despite the personal loss. He recalled his father’s constant advice to stand with the people and to work without prioritising personal interests. Shibu Soren, he said, fought for the state from the streets to Parliament, never compromising in his struggle.

Hemant Soren added that his father had taken several promises from him for the welfare of Jharkhand, and he is determined to honour them, even in these trying times.
