CM Soren inaugurates 5-day JIASOWA Diwali Mela

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren formally inaugurated the five-day Jharkhand IAS Officers Wives Association (JIASOWA) Diwali Mela-2025 at Morhabadi Maidan, Ranchi. The event was also attended by MLA Kalpana Soren.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Soren praised JIASOWA for its long-standing commitment to public welfare since its inception. He noted that the association is celebrating its silver jubilee this year and continues to organize the mela with great enthusiasm, maintaining its focus on social upliftment.

Highlighting the association’s work in education and healthcare, CM Soren said the mela’s proceeds are directed towards the welfare of the poor and other social development initiatives. He also mentioned that the event included the presentation of awards to individuals excelling in social work and the inauguration of a library. CM Soren appreciated JIASOWA’s consistent efforts to serve those in need and extended his best wishes to all members and office bearers of the association.

The mela was toured by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, MLA Kalpana Soren, Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, and other dignitaries. MLA Kalpana Soren conveyed her best wishes for the successful organization of the event to all JIASOWA members. The inauguration was also attended by JIASOWA President Preeti Kumar, Vice President Anita Sinha, Secretary Manu Jha, and several other members, along with senior officials from various state departments.
