Sahibganj: Chief Minister Hemant Soren paid his tributes to great martyrs Sidhu-Kanhu on the occasion of Hul Diwas at Bhognadih. Speaking on the occasion he said that the tribal community since every beginning has been fighting for its rights and its living example can be found in Bhognadih where the great martyrs sacrificed their lives for the sake of the protection of the rights of the tribals.
He said that the tribal community has made a separate name for itself in the country and has their mark on the pages of the history. Moreover, they have also carried out their responsibility towards the society and they play an important role in protecting the land water and forest he said adding that historians are of the view that after the formation of the world land was first seen in these areas as fossils of dinosaurs period have been also recovered here.
He said that hundreds of years ago great tribal leaders like Sidhu-Kanhu Chand-Bhairav and Phulo- Jhano fought for their rights and called for unity in the community.
