CM orders to register FIR & conduct probe against 29 government officials for irregularities

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has been consistently taking tough decisions regarding action against corrupt officials as per his zero-tolerance policy against corruption.

In this connection, the Chief Minister has approved the proposal to give permission to Anti-Corruption Bureau, Ranchi to conduct investigation by registering an FIR against 29 public servants and others involved in corruption and other irregularities. This whole matter is related to the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation. 

This investigation has to be done by registering an FIR by the Anti-Corruption Bureau on the allegations of irregularities against many junior engineers, assistant engineers, executive engineers, and contractors.

This case is related to irregularities in tube wells and other schemes installed in the year 2010-11 and 2013-14 in the panchayats of Govindpur and Nirsa blocks under the Dhanbad district. An FIR has been registered by the monitoring department on the complaint related to this. 

These include Sanjay Kumar Jha, the then Executive Engineer, Pramod Kumar, the then Executive Engineer, Daya Shankar Prasad, the then Assistant Engineer, Sumeshwar Mishra, the then Junior Engineer, Vansh Narayan Ram, the then Junior Engineer, James William Topno, the then Divisional Accounts Officer, Vinod Kumar. 

There are many accused including M/s Vinod Enterprises, Dhanbad, M/s Shivpujan Prasad, Dhanbad, contractor Chandrashekhar Jha, Dhanbad, contractor Siyaram Rai, Dhanbad, and contractor M/s Raj Construction, Dhanbad.
