Ranchi: These days power crisis has arisen in Jharkhand over which the state government is working to seriously to get rid from this problem.

In the meeting of the Jharkhand cabinet a proposal to give a tariff subsidy of Rs 1690 crores to DVC and NTPC has been approved, under which the arrears will be paid from this amount. At the same time, Chief Minister Hemant Soren assured the people of the state to get rid of this crisis soon.

Talking to reporters after the cabinet meeting the Chief Minister said that at present there is a shortage of electricity in the whole country and Jharkhand is also no exception to this. The power plants established in the state are producing less electricity than the total capacity and it is because of this that such a situation has arisen he said.

At the same time, the Jharkhand cabinet has also approved the proposal of giving tariff subsidies to DVC and NTPC. Under this, an additional amount is being made available to the government department, so that its supply can be completed by purchasing electricity he said adding that the department has started work to ensure the availability of electricity.

At the same time, Disaster Management Minister Banna Gupta said that there has been talks about getting rid of the problem of power cut. He said that steps will be taken to solve the problem related to electricity soon. The minister said that there has been some reduction in power generation due to rising heat, but the government will soon solve this problem and provide uninterrupted electricity to the people.

The demand for electricity in Jharkhand has reached 2600 MW in the rising heat. The state meets the power requirement of 2100 to 2200 MW by purchasing it from NPTC, NHPC, and Wind Power. For this electricity has to be purchased from the power exchange. However, the power exchange currently has only 2200 MW of additional power left to sell coupled with that the demand from other states has also increased
