CM approves proposals forwarded by high level monitoring committee of Rural Development Department

Ranchi: A meeting of the high level monitoring committee of the Rural Development Department (Panchayati Raj) was chaired by the Chief Secretary.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren has given his approval on the decision which was taken in the meeting of high level monitoring committee over the annual maintenance contracts and service contracts for providing services in the panchayats and rural areas.

In the meeting it was decided that for disposing off technical works at the block level two junior engineers and on every 5-6 panchayats clerk cum computer operators will be kept on Annual Maintenance Contracts/Service Contracts. The clerk cum computer operator will be given a monthly payment of Rs 10,000 while the junior engineer will be given Rs 17,000.

Money for making the payment to these people will be made under the funds of the 15th finance commission. The education criteria for these two posts and service rules will be decided separately by the Panchayati Raj Department.
