Ranchi: The 48th foundation day of Coal India Limited (CIL)/Central Coalfields Limited was celebrated at Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), Headquarters Ranchi and across the operational areas. A plethora of programmes were organised throughout the company to mark the occasion. 858 nonexecutives of the company were promoted to mark the occasion.
Director Tech (Op), CCL R B Prasad along with Dir (Per) H N Mishra and B Sairam Dir (P&P) CCL offered floral tributes to the martyred coal workers at “Shaheed Smarak”. CMD, CCL PM Prasad participated in the foundation day celebration program organized at CIL, HQ, Kolkata. Coal India flag along with the CCL flag and the operational areas was unfurled on the occasion.
General managers, HoDs and other employees were present on the occasion. Similar programs were organized in other areas of CCL in which the employees participated with full vigour and enthusiasm.
Speaking on the occasion, DT (Op) Prasad greeted everybody present on the foundation day. He said that Coal India Limited along with its subsidiaries is committed to contribute in the development of the nation. He expressed confidence that the company will attain the desired production and dispatch targets.
He added that the company has witnessed a staggering growth of 16 percent in coal production till October in FY22-23 compared to the same period in the last fiscal. Director (Pers) H N Mishra stated that the company is committed to the holistic development of stakeholders and various initiatives are being implemented in this regard.
Director (P&P) B Sairam said that the company will fulfill the energy aspirations of the country through sustainable mining. GM (Admin) UP Narayan anchored the entire program. General Managers/Hod’s of various departments and a large number of employees were present at CCL HQ to celebrate the occasion.
