Chief Minister Hemant Soren inaugurated the newly constructed longest bridge of the state on Mayurakshi River in Dumka, also gifted 23 road projects

Dumka: Roads and bridges are important links of development. This opens the way for multidimensional development. The better the connectivity, the more it benefits the residents of the area.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren said these things while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed longest bridge of the state on Mayurakshi River at Kumradabad in Dumka district on Monday.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated 11 roads at a cost of Rs 3, 91, 41, 83, 896 and laid the foundation stone of 12 roads at a cost of Rs 1, 43, 26, 5, 500.

The Chief Minister said that this bridge built on Mayurakshi River will give a new direction to development. This will make transportation accessible and easy. Many villages will have direct contact with Dumka district headquarters. People will save time in commuting. Education, employment and business will get a boost. There will be socio-economic upliftment of the area and it will prove to be a milestone in terms of tourism.

The Chief Minister said that the government is determined to give people their rights and entitlements with full respect. In this episode, once again the third phase of “Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar” program is going to start. The officers will come to your door. Camps will be organized in the Panchayat. Here your problems will be solved and benefits of government schemes will also be given. The government is working with full commitment towards connecting the people of the last line of the society with welfare schemes.

The Chief Minister said that the government is committed to providing social security to all the poor and needy. In this context, the Universal Pension Scheme has been implemented by the government. Under this scheme, pensions are being given to all the elderly, widows, abandoned and disabled people. Clear instructions have been given to the officials that no eligible person should be deprived of this scheme. 

The Chief Minister said that no family will remain homeless in the state. The dream of all the homeless to have their own home will be fulfilled. For this, Abua Housing Scheme is being started. Under this scheme, houses will be provided to eight lakh families.

The Chief Minister said that the government is continuously working to make the youth stand on their own feet. In this context, recruitment is being done on a large scale on vacant posts in government departments, while thousands of youth are working to get jobs in private companies and institutions through employment fairs. Not only this, the government is helping any person who wants to be self-employed through the Mukhyamantri Self-Employment Scheme.

The Chief Minister asked the villagers to educate their children well. Shape their future. Don’t worry about the expenses on education. The government will bear this expense. In this sequence, the Chief Minister informed the people about the schemes being run in the field of education.

He said that the government is providing financial assistance for everything from preparation for competitive exams to courses like medical, engineering and law. At the same time, it is giving 100% scholarships for studying abroad. To ensure that girls remain connected to their studies, Savitribai Phule Kishori Savitri Yojana is being run. 

On this occasion, the Chief Minister informed the people about various schemes run by the government and asked them to take advantage of them. The Chief Minister said that we can never forget our immortal heroes, martyrs and Jharkhand agitators. His contribution will always be remembered. We have been respecting him and will continue to do so. 

The Chief Minister expressed happiness over the fact that the people here are in favor of naming the newly constructed bridge on Mayurakshi River as Dishom Guru Shibu Soren Setu. In such a situation, the government process of naming Mayurakshi River Bridge as Dishom Guru Shibu Soren Setu will be completed soon.

On this occasion, Agriculture Minister Badal, MP Vijay Hansda, MLA Nalin Soren and Sita Soren, District Council President Joyce Besra, Secretary to the Chief Minister Vinay Kumar Choubey, Road Construction Secretary Sunil Kumar, Divisional Commissioner Lalchand Dadel, Deputy Inspector General of Police Sudarshan Prasad Mandal and many officials of the district administration including the District Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police were present.
