Ranchi: Chief Electoral Officer L Khiyangate held a review via video conferencing with all the district electoral officers during which he
directed to create awareness at public places to maximize the voter turnout. He said that to create awareness among the people LED
vans, posters, banners and hoardings should be put up. He pointed out that there is a huge rush of people at collectorates, public offices, court and railway stations, haats and markets and at such places advertisement should be created for awareness among the people.
Mr Khiyangate said that the Election commission of India has issued many instructions to increase the voter percentage. During the
review meeting Additional Chief Electoral officer Vinay Kumar Choubey and Additional Chief Electoral officer Manish Ranjan who
were also present directed the district electoral officers to take all necessary steps to increase the voter percentage. Mr Khiyangate asked the DEOs use social media to create awareness regarding all the important issues for voters which will be helpful to educate the voters and also ensure their participation in the polls.
He said that for voter awareness special photographs or videos should be uploaded on social media. He also asked to send the report related to the service voters as soon as possible. Additional Chief Electoral officer Vinay Kumar Choubey said that for tracking of section officer the mobile app has been developed and all section officers would download the same on their smartphones so that the tracking can be done on the smartphones.
