Ranchi: Former JMM MLA Sita Soren has been given Z category security by the Central Government.
Sita Soren had joined BJP in Delhi immediately after resigning from JMM on March 19.
Z category has a security cover of 22 personnel, which includes 4-6 NSG commandos and police personnel.
A meeting of the State Security Classification Committee was held in the Special Branch of Jharkhand Police.
During this meeting, the imminent threat to VIPs and VIPs of Jharkhand was reviewed.
After review, all the people have been kept under security in Z Plus, Z, Y Plus, and Y and X categories.
Kalpana Soren, wife of former Chief Minister Hemant Soren and who has entered politics, has also now been given Y category security.
The state police had reviewed the security of a total of 119 people.
