Ranchi: The Central Coalfields Ltd will set up 6 ecological parks in its command area.
Out of the aforementioned 6 parks two will be spread in an area of ten hectares, two in twenty hectares and the remaining two will be spread in more than 20 hectares. The foundation stone of these parks will be laid on July 23 in an online ceremony.
A statement issued on behalf of the company said that Van Mahotsav 2020 will be celebrated at 130 locations throughout the country to create awareness among the people about the importance of forest conservation and. Plantation of trees and the company will be participating in this festival wholeheartedly. Under the guidance of the Ministry of Coal, Government of India, Coal India along with Lignite Miners will be organizing Van Mahotsav at 130 locations throughout the country.
Central Coalfields Limited a subsidiary of Coal India Limited under the guidance of the Ministry of Coal will be celebrating this occasion on an opulent scale with full zeal and enthusiasm. A meeting regarding the same was chaired by Secretary, Ministry of Coal on July 15 The which was attended by Mr Pramod Agarwal, Chairman Coal India along with the CMDs of different subsidiaries via video conferencing. Mr Gopal Singh, CMD CCL gave many valuable suggestions on the topic during the meeting.
Under the leadership of Mr Singh CCL will be organizing various programs to celebrate the occasion. Distribution and plantation of fruit bearing saplings along with other plants will be carried out at the company headquarters in Ranchi and other command areas.
Company will also be implementing Eco restoration on 58 hectares of land through seed ball technique in the current year. Seed ball is a natural technique in which the seeds are wrapped with soil and sprayed on land during monsoons for plantations. Along with coal production to meet the needs of the station, CCL continually executes various activities for environmental protection in its command areas.
