Simdega/Ranchi, Oct 18: Union Food and Civil Supplies Minister Ramvilas Paswan has sought a report from the Jharkhand government following death of a 11 year old girl in Karimati village of Jaldgea block of the Simdega district.
Official sources said that the central ministry would also be sending its own team to conduct a probe on the issue. On the other hand today former Jharkhand Chief Minister and JVM(P) supremo Babulal Marandi visited the family members of the deceased and flayed the central and the state government for this unfortunate incident.
He said that it was a matter of shame that while on one hand a girl died crying for rice and on the other hand the Prime Minister of the country and Chief Minister of Jharkhand were saying that the country was changing. He said that in the villages there was no facility for the internet and due to this the Aadhar cards have not been made and instead of the wrong ones the administration has struck off the names of right beneficiaries from the list.
Mr Marandi said that due to the failure of the administration thousands of families are facing problems of making their living and they are also not getting foodgrains under national food security act. On the other hand former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that instead of government a circus was operating in the state.
He said that it was indeed unfortunate that people were dying due to the faulty policies of the state government. He alleged that while on one hand the foodgrains were rotting in the godowns on the other hand the people were not getting foodgrains.
