Ranchi: A woman who is battling cancer along with her family members was forced to sleep inside an autorickshaw as the family could not get a guest house near the Tata Memorial Hospital in Jamshedpur.
However, after the matter was brought into the notice of Chief Minister Hemant Soren he immediately directed the DC Jamshedpur to provide the women benefits under treatment of rare disease scheme along with that he also directed to immediately arrange a place for the family.
Post the directions of the Chief Minister the DC of East Singhbhum informed that the women and her family members have been provided shelter in Maango.
Poornima Devi a resident of Dharampur village of Jamtara district is from a very poor background and is battling cancer. For the last 14 days the family was sleeping inside an autorickshaw outside the hospital as now body paid attention towards them.
