Businessman Vishnu Aggarwal did not appear before ED, Inquiries were to be held in the land embezzlement case, expressed inability to appear

Ranchi: Businessman Vishnu Agarwal did not appear before the ED in Ranchi on Wednesday.

He was to be questioned in connection with the rigging in the sale and purchase of many other land including army land in Ranchi’s Cheshire Home, Pugdu and Sirmtoli. But he didn’t come.

According to ED sources, he has told the officials that he is busy in worship.

This is long term worship.

He has given this information through mail.

Earlier, he kept evading ED’s questions citing health reasons.

Now they are taking the help of God.

In the summons issued by the ED, he was asked to reach the ED’s regional office, Hinoo, by 11 am.

But he did not come to the ED office.

After this, ED has issued summons and asked to come on 31 July.

Businessman Vishnu Agarwal was earlier called for questioning by the ED on July 17.

But they did not appear.

Citing health reasons, he sought three weeks’ time from the ED, but the probe agency did not give him much time.

He was called again on 26 July.

However there is a doubt whether he will appear before the ED or not.

It is feared that due to health reasons, he may postpone his appearance before the agency on Wednesday as well.

The matter related to the land came to light when the ED arrested Ranchi’s officer Ali.

Earlier, on November 4, 2022, the ED raided several locations of Vishnu Agarwal in the land scam.

Later three times summons were sent to Vishnu Aggarwal for questioning.

His name came up in the purchase of land on the Cheshire Home Road, as well as in a number of land matters.

In the investigation, ED found that Prem Prakash’s role in this land deal also came to the fore.

At the same time, in the purchase of 9.30 acres of Khas Mahal land in Pugadu, the matter of forgery also came to the fore.

Businessman Vishnu Agarwal is originally from Purulia.

Have been living in Ranchi for many years.

The famous Nucleus Mall of Ranchi’s Circular Road belongs to him. Phase II of Nucleus Mall is in Chandni Chowk, Kanke Road.

That too belongs to him.

He is also the owner of land worth more than Rs 500 crore in Ranchi.

It is said that Vishnu Aggarwal has good relations with many ministers and MLAs.

Many IAS-IPS officers are also in contact with Vishnu Agarwal.
