Ranchi: The burnt body of an unknown person was recovered from behind RIMS Hostel No. 5 on Thursday. When the patrolling team of the Bariatu police station area was patrolling, they noticed the dead body.
Upon investigation, no documents were found from the deceased. After this, the police of Bariatu police station sent the body for post-mortem and started investigating the case. The deceased could not be identified till the time of writing the news.
The police are busy gathering information from nearby people. Medical students live in hostel number 5 of RIMS. During the investigation, footprints of the young man were found on the roof of the hostel. Looking at the mark, it appears that the youth had jumped down from the roof of the hostel after the fire. Due to this, he died.
A large quantity of mobile phones were found on the roof of the hostel. The Bariatu police team reached the spot and are busy investigating. The police team has also interrogated other students living in the hostel, but no one has yet identified the deceased youth.
