Ranchi: Jharkhand State Coordination Committee meeting was held at the residence of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Chief and Rajya Sabha MP Shibu Soren at Morhabadi in Ranchi on Saturday.
In the meeting decisions taken to pass many important bills and the behaviour of BJP MLAs were also discussed.
Later, a Press Conference was addressed by Coordination Committee Member Vinod Pandey and Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) President Rajesh Thakur.
They put allegations that Domicile Policy and OBC Reservation Bill passed by Jharkhand Assembly and later it was rejected by Jharkhand Governor as per the direction of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP).
They said ST, SC and OBC were affected due to the rejection of these bills.
Coordination Committee Member Vinod Pandey said these bills should be reviewed and implemented for the sake of Statehood.
In the Meeting JMM Chief Shibu Soren, JPCC President Rajesh Thakur, RJD MLA and Labour Minister Satyanand Bhokta, Bandu Tirkey, Yogendra Mahato and Fagu Besra were Present.
In the meeting, it is decided to pass dozens of bills in the upcoming Session of the Jharkhand Assembly including 75 % Reservation for Locals, Sarna Dharm Code, Anti Moblinching Law and 1932 Domicile Policy.
Coordination Committee Member Vinod Pandey Said “A High-Level delegation will meet President Draupadi Murmu to pass Sarna Dharm Code.”
Committee decided to rectify the defects of the 1932 Domicile Policy and sent it to the Government.
JPCC President Rajesh Thakur put allegations that the BJP is responsible for making obstacles and they are manipulating and taking advantage of the High Court and Governor.
Coordination Committee Member Bandhu Tirkey said the Government should start recruiting Officials for Land Reforms and Revenue Collections for that Land related disputes would be solved.
JPCC President Rajesh Thakur added not to stop classes at the Intermediate level and at the Graduation level.
In the meeting expansion of TVNL (Tenughat Vidyut Nigam Limited) is conferred.
