Mumbai — Actress Ashnoor Kaur’s parents, Avneet Kaur and Gurmeet Kaur, have shared their thoughts on their daughter’s journey inside the Bigg Boss 19 house and addressed the much-discussed friendship between Ashnoor and fellow contestant Abhishek Bajaj.
Speaking exclusively to IANS, Gurmeet Kaur, Ashnoor’s father, described the bond as “genuine and pure.”
“Ashnoor doesn’t make friends easily. She prefers keeping her circle small. Inside the house too, she’s close to only a few — Abhishek, Praneet, Avijay, and Gaurav Khanna. We have no problem with her friendship with Abhishek. It’s sincere and gives her emotional support,” he said.
When asked if the bond has influenced Ashnoor’s game, her mother, Avneet Kaur, firmly denied it.
“Not at all. Having friends and moral support is important. Both are playing their individual games. In fact, Ashnoor has realised that she needs to focus more on herself now, and she’s doing that beautifully,” she explained.
Sharing advice for her daughter, Avneet added, “Ashnoor has always been focused, whether in school or in her career. Everyone who knows her has something good to say. My advice to her would be — not everything deserves a reaction. It’s okay to ignore certain things and save your energy. But as she steps into a new phase of life after Bigg Boss, she should speak up when necessary, maintain her dignity, and never stay silent if someone crosses the line.”
Her father echoed the sentiment, saying, “Being careful with words is good, but being too selective can sometimes hold you back. I’d encourage her to express herself more openly while staying respectful.”
Inside the Bigg Boss house, Ashnoor has often been seen supporting Abhishek through his highs and lows, exemplifying what genuine friendship looks like. While some housemates have speculated about a romantic angle, both Ashnoor and Abhishek have consistently maintained that they are just close friends.
