Ranchi: On the fourth day of the winter session of Jharkhand Assembly, MLA Dashrath Gagrai raised the issue of non-appointment to the posts of professor and assistant professor in Kharsawan Degree College under Kolhan University in the House.
He said that 17 posts of professor and assistant professor have been created in Kharsawan Degree College, whereas the college is running only on the basis of the in-charge principal.
In response, Minister in-charge Mithilesh Thakur said that the Jharkhand government has sent a requisition to JPSC for appointment to the posts of 281 regular and 34 backlog assistant professors.
Till the appointment is not made, teaching will be conducted in the college through bell based teachers.
The minister assured to appoint bell-based teachers within a month.
