Being a teacher is not a job but a responsibility, says CM, asks newly appointed teachers to work for changing the identity of state

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren in a grand function handed over appointment letters to 3,469 teachers in the state who would be working in the middle schools of the state spread across 24 districts of Jharkhand.

A maximum of 280 teachers have been reinstated and appointed in Ranchi district while the lowest number of 67 teachers have been appointed in Latehar. During the function as part of a symbolic gesture, the Chief Minister distributed appointment letters among 24 teachers.

Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister said that this is a historic day as well as a very important day at Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium where teachers are being appointed in such a large number.

The Chief Minister said this is not a mere 10 to 5 pm job but a responsibility. He said that the Government does many works, some works are such that their importance is different he said adding that for a patient a doctor is like God similarly for children, teachers are like God. In the context of Jharkhand, we have decided on some important issues that we have to solve the problems. Many people have given martyrdom for the birth of this state he said.

The Chief Minister said that this state is the most backward where many big companies run from coal and many minerals and the light reaches many parts of the country but still it is backward. This state is also called the state of labourers which pains him to hear and called upon the newly appointed teachers to work to change this image. He said that the government is working on many appointments and important decisions.

Adding further he said that all the people are witnesses that the crisis of Corona came as soon as the government was formed. The problem that happened in the state in Corona is not hidden from anyone but despite the limited resources the state government managed to protect the lives of the people. He said after Corona, another pandemic came in the form of ED and CBI. We have also given permission to CBI and ED to search in whatever they can but did not stop working.

He said that at the same venue, the government has distributed many appointments and given jobs before the deadline. He said that the government is also focusing on building new and modern schools. Hemant Soren said, earlier there was a huge shortage of teachers in the state as the same teacher used to teach many subjects to eighty students sitting in two rooms which was like cheating the children in the name of education.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Aalamgir Aalam while congratulating the newly appointed teachers said that appointment letters are being given to about three and a half thousand teachers here and the teachers have an important role in the society as any country or society remains incomplete without education. He congratulated Chief Minister Hemant Soren that the occasion will be known as a historic day as so many teachers are getting appointment letters at once.

He said that the government is constantly trying to provide employment to the youth of the state and assured that planning will continue in the state. Minister Satyanand Bhokta said that he was seeing such a historic appointment in politics for the first time in 23 years for which he congratulatee the Chief Minister. Today, ghee lamps in the name of Hemant Soren should be lit in 3469 houses. He said that the government has given many appointment letters from this stadium and several thousand teachers are yet to be reinstated.

Jharkhand Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh said that he had appeared before the Supreme Court only twice in his career so far once for their case. People say everything in government is bad except government jobs. He said that their job is not where you go to office at ten o’clock and come home after picking up tiffin from office at five o’clock in the evening. This is not a job, this is a responsibility. If you go to school, take classes than it is only 40 percent. If you keep your house in the village where you are posted and meet students then it is 60 percent. It is 80 per cent if you meet a school dropout during the holidays.

Now 20 percent is left, then ten percent you contact them by learning the local language there, then 90 percent and if you want to achieve 100 percent by achieving ten percent, then you can teach children the value of living life along with studies he said in his message to the teachers. I am sure that at least you will give your 80 percent in building the future of the country he said. The teachers have been appointed in total 26 subjects.
