Barnwal orders show cause to Lohardaga DSP over youth missing since 8 months

Ranchi, May 9:  State’s IT and Industries Department Secretary Sunil
Barnwal has issued show cause notice to Lohardaga DSP over a case
involving missing of a youth since the last eight months.
Chairing the weekly review of complaints lodged at the Jan Samwad
Kendra here he said that Kangal Bhagat 20 has been missing since the
last eight months but police was unable to obtain any clue in the
case. He directed to write a letter to the SP in this regard.
Over a complaint from Latehar where it was said bills of the
stationary items supplied during the Nagar Panchayat Polls of 2013
were still pending following which he asked identify the official
responsible at the district electoral officer for this delay and
ordered for his suspension and departmental action.
Over a complaint from Gumla district he ordered that the dependant of
the Ashok Kumar Mahto who was killed in Maoists incident on October
10, 2012 be provided the appointment letter in a week. In a similar
complaint from Khunti district he asked to compensation amount to the
kin of one Susaran Horo who was killed by Maoists in Kumardih on
February 2, 2106.
Mr Barnwal also asked the additional chief secretary of the health
department and principal secretary of the labour department to hold a
meeting as  to why Chola Mandalam insurance company did not pay the
bills of the beneficiaries of Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana.
The secretary flayed the nodal officer of Godda district as Godda
continued to be at the bottom of the table in solving of the
complaints and ordered to issue show cause notice against him. The
nodal officer of Pakur was given a week time to improve performance.
He also issued show cause notice to nodal officer of woman and child
development department and sought to know why such negligent attitude
had bean adopted by the department to sieve the complaints. He also
asked the nodal officer of power department to issue show cause to
negligent officials.
