Ranchi: Leader of the legislature wing of BJP Babulal Marandi has requested the state government to bring back more than 15000 workers of Giridih district who are trapped in Hyderabad.
Mr Marandi has written a letter to Chief Minister Hemant Soren informing him that more than 15000 workers from different blocks of Giridih district are currently trapped in Hyderabad. Moreover contrary to the claims of the state government of providing rations to all the workers who are trapped outside in reality only 10 percent of workers have got the ration while monetary assistance through the Sahayata App has only reached to 2-3 percent of the workers who are trapped outside, he said.
Quoting workers Mr Marandi said that the Nodal officers appointed state wise by the state government neither pick up their calls or on most occasions their mobiles are switched off. He said that if the government does not have the resources to bring them back they can at least help them get the necessary pass so that those who are capable can return back to the state.
Mr Marandi has urged the Chief Minister to look at the issue of the workers from his own level and make arrangements accordingly so that all the workers who are trapped can be brought back. Moreover, he has demanded the state government to give the details of the arrangements which have been made to bring back the workers. He has further pointed that in bringing back the workers there should be no discrimination nor regionalism should be favoured as all the workers of the state are one. He asked the state government to immediately provide a pass to those who can come on their own.
