Babulal Marandi Launches ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat, Har Ghar Swadeshi’ Campaign in Ranchi

Ranchi – Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Babulal Marandi kick-started the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat, Har Ghar Swadeshi’ campaign in Ranchi on Monday by writing slogans promoting Swadeshi on a wall at Birsa Chowk.

The launch event saw participation from Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu and hundreds of BJP workers from across the city.

Marandi said, “Swadeshi in every home — this is our mantra. Party workers will reach out to people across the country to realise Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047. This mission can only succeed through collective effort — with everyone’s participation and development.”

Highlighting the importance of local production, he added, “Adopting Swadeshi is not a minor step. It supports domestic industries and creates employment. If India wants to become self-reliant, we must strengthen local enterprises and use indigenous products.”

Marandi further reminded that the Swadeshi movement was a key part of India’s freedom struggle. “Mahatma Gandhi used Swadeshi as a powerful weapon — through Khadi, the Charkha, and the Salt March. If we rely on foreign goods, we risk unemployment and economic loss. Reviving Swadeshi will build jobs and strengthen the nation’s economy.”

His statement echoed Prime Minister Modi’s Mann Ki Baat message on September 28, where he urged citizens to embrace Swadeshi on Gandhi Jayanti. Union Home Minister Amit Shah had also recently appealed to farmers in Maharashtra to use Swadeshi products in support of the same vision.
