ATS court denies bail to shooter Shiv Sharma

Ranchi: The special court of the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) in Ranchi has rejected the bail plea of notorious shooter Shiv Sharma, also known as Shivendra. He had sought bail in an extortion case involving KCC Buildcon, the company constructing the Ratu Road flyover in Ranchi.

The case, originally registered at Sukhdeonagar police station, was later taken over by the ATS and re-registered as Case No. 3/2024. According to the FIR, Shiv Sharma allegedly threatened a company official with death and demanded five percent of the project cost as a “settlement.” He reportedly warned of serious consequences if the demand was not met.

During the hearing, his counsel Aman Kumar Rahul argued on his behalf, but the court refused bail due to the serious nature of the charges. Shiv Sharma faces multiple cases involving murder, extortion, and other grave offenses. He remains in judicial custody.
