Aspirants Begin ‘Satyagraha’ Outside JPSC Office Over Delayed Results

Ranchi- Hundreds of job aspirants launched a ‘satyagraha’ outside the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) headquarters on Monday, protesting the prolonged delay in recruitment results.

The candidates demanded the immediate declaration of long-pending results for exams conducted over a year ago, including those for Food Safety Officer and Child Development Project Officer (CDPO).

They said that despite multiple appeals, the Commission has neither released the results nor given clarity on a timeline. The recruitment process, which began in 2023, saw its main examination held in 2024, but the results have still not been published.

“The entire exam schedule is in disarray. We’ve been living with uncertainty for months,” a protestor said.

A delegation met JPSC officials, who once again assured them that results would be issued “soon,” but did not provide any written confirmation.

Candidates argued that the evaluation process had already been completed and questioned why the Commission was withholding the results.

They also voiced concerns that the prolonged delay may cost them future opportunities, especially with age limits nearing for several categories.

The peaceful protest featured slogans like “Results Do, JPSC!” and “Declare Our Future!” Aspirants vowed to continue the satyagraha until a definite date is announced.

JPSC has not issued any official statement regarding the matter yet.
