Arrangements for Covid-19 tests will be done in major temples: DC

Ranchi: During the auspicious month of Shravan arrangements will be made for Covid-19 tests in major temples including the Pahadi Mandir temple of Ranchi. Deputy Commissioner Ranchi Rahul Kumar Sinha directed the officials to make necessary preparations in this regard during the meeting of the district-level Covid-19 Task Force.

Senior and nodal officers of various cells constituted for prevention and prevention of Covid-19 infection were present in the meeting organized in the Deputy Commissioner’s auditorium.

During the meeting he said that for the prevention of Covid infection in the district, the testing will be further increased, using all the testing kits available, infected persons will be identified. He said that there are 80,000 Rapid Antigen  Test Kits and 48,000 VTM Test Kits, for the use of which all MOICs have been instructed to provide kits to all the teams and test them by making a micro plan. It has been directed to identify the infected persons by checking at airports, railway stations and crowded areas.

The district administration will arrange for a Covid-19 investigation at major pagodas including the hill temple of Ranchi. The district administration team will examine the devotees. The Deputy Commissioner said that along with the maintenance of law and order and deployment of magistrates and police force would also be done in this period.

The Deputy Commissioner has appealed to the residents of Ranchi to follow the guideline of Covid-19. While reviewing the Covid-19 vaccination in the district, the Deputy Commissioner directed to focus on the vaccination of the age group of 12-14 and 15-17 years. He informed that up to 95 percent of 18 plus vaccination work has been completed in the district.
