Dumka/Ranchi: The body of a 14-year-old minor girl who was four months pregnant has been found hanging from a tree under Vishwavidhalay OP of Dumka district in Jharkhand on Saturday.
The girl who hails from the tribal community along with her relatives use to work as a labourer in Dumka and lived in Jama. However, in the course of work, she became friends with a Mason identified as Armaan hailing from Amrapada of Pakur district. Soon
friendship turned into love.
The family claimed on the pretext of marriage the girl was sexually exploited by the lover. It is suspected that the girl was murdered by her lover and later on the body was hanging from the tree.
An FIR in this regard has been registered at Muffasil Police Station under various provisions of IPC and POCSO Act. Later police managed to arrest the culprit youth.
