Mumbai: Bollywood actress Ananya Panday took to social media to share a nostalgic video of the iconic song Saath Samundar Paar from the film Vishwatma, featuring her father, actor Chunky Panday.
Sharing the clip on her social media handle, Ananya captioned it, “Papa. We love you,” and tagged Chunky Panday. The video showcases Chunky Panday alongside actress Sonam Khan from the 1992 hit film Vishwatma.
The original version of Saath Samundar Paar, picturised on late actress Divya Bharti and Sunny Deol, went on to become a major chartbuster. The song was sung by Sadhana Sargam and Udit Narayan and composed by Viju Shah.
The evergreen track has now been recreated for Ananya Panday’s upcoming film Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri, with singer Karan Nawani lending his voice to the new version.
Meanwhile, Ananya is gearing up for the release of her film, scheduled to hit theatres in just two days. Earlier in the day, the actress shared her excitement after receiving high praise from legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan.
Ananya posted a video from her recent appearance on the popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati 17, where Amitabh Bachchan was heard appreciating her performance. The veteran actor remarked that despite sharing screen space with several established actors, Ananya delivered a strong performance, effectively conveying emotions through her expressions, even with limited dialogue.
He further added that true acting lies in making a scene feel realistic and effortless for the audience, calling it a challenging task that defines a legendary performer. Bachchan said he felt this quality in Ananya while watching her on screen.
Reacting to his words, Ananya wrote on social media, “The biggest moment of any actor’s life – I will cherish your words forever, Amit Ji.”
For the uninitiated, Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri stars Kartik Aaryan opposite Ananya Panday and is slated for a Christmas release on December 25.
