Mumbai – Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has expressed deep admiration for homemakers, encouraging women to take pride in their role and never speak of it with hesitation, emphasizing that “managing a home is no easy task.”
Writing on his blog, the veteran actor shared that during his quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati, he often asks women in the audience about their profession — and many respond softly, saying they are “homemakers.”
“Sometimes, when I ask a woman in the audience what she does, she replies in a low voice, ‘I’m a homemaker,’” he wrote.
Questioning this modest tone, Bachchan added, “Why say it so softly? Why hide it? There’s no need to speak in a subdued voice.”
Encouraging them to speak with confidence, he said: “Never say it quietly! Say it with pride — you are a homemaker.”
The actor highlighted that managing a household is an enormous responsibility.
“Running a home is not an easy job — taking care of the house, the husband, the children, cooking for everyone, and handling countless daily tasks. None of this is easy,” he wrote.
Reflecting on the pandemic, Bachchan noted that the COVID-19 lockdown made many men realize the immense workload their wives handle every day.
“During the Covid period, men finally understood how much their wives do at home when they had to take on those responsibilities themselves,” he remarked.
Signing off, Big B shared his appreciation for his fans, writing, “Time to get ready for work, early morning call… My love and gratitude to all my well-wishers — your continued affection is beyond words.”
