Amitabh Bachchan Reflects on Life’s Mysteries, Calls Truth Ever-Elusive

Mumbai — Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan shared a deeply introspective note, describing a “quiet, contemplative day” spent reflecting on life’s uncertainties and the endless search for meaning.

Taking to his blog, he spoke about the constant inner dialogue that shapes human thought. He described how the mind keeps seeking answers, occasionally finding some clarity, but more often encountering uncertainty and vague responses.

Reflecting on this, Bachchan highlighted how people across time have tried to understand life’s fundamental questions — the “why” and the “how” — yet no one has been able to arrive at a final, definitive answer. According to him, even the most thoughtful explanations fall short of delivering absolute truth.

He went on to suggest that if a question ever received a complete and unquestionable answer, it would mark the end of thought itself. In his view, life has only one certainty — that we come into this world empty-handed and leave the same way.

The actor emphasized that the search for truth is never-ending. The idea of a final answer remains out of reach, as every question branches into multiple possibilities, not all of which lead to a clear conclusion. This, he implied, is the very nature of existence — a continuous journey of thought and reflection.

Known for regularly connecting with his fans through his blog, whom he fondly calls his extended family, Bachchan continues to share such philosophical musings alongside updates from his professional life.

On the work front, the legendary actor is currently engaged in the sequel of Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin. The film also features prominent actors like Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. Set in a dystopian future, the story revolves around a mission to protect an unborn child believed to be Kalki, the final incarnation of Vishnu.
