Mumbai, Aug 12 (IANS) — Actress Aishwarya Khare expressed shock and disappointment after being nominated by co-contestant Erica Packard in the reality show Chhoriyan Chali Gaon.
“I trusted her,” Aishwarya said after finding herself in the danger zone. She recalled how she had earlier voted for Erica to become the Maalkin of Basera, believing their mutual understanding would remain strong.
“We had each other’s back — or so I thought. I never imagined it would come to this,” she added.
However, when Erica got the power to nominate someone, she chose Aishwarya without hesitation.
“When she said my name, it wasn’t just the game that changed — it was the friendship,” Aishwarya reflected.
Host Rannvijay Singha and fellow contestant Anita Hassanandani stepped in to comfort her, but Erica stood by her decision, calling it “purely strategic” and necessary to advance in the competition.
“It might be strategy,” Aishwarya admitted, “but this place tests you in every way. Sometimes, the hardest battles aren’t with your opponents, but with the people you thought were on your side.”
The nomination came just days after a touching moment between the two, when Aishwarya’s heartfelt performance of Tu Mera Humdard Hai moved Erica to tears.
Recalling their unexpected bond, Erica said: “In the first episode, I told Krishna, ‘Ms. Bahu can never be my friend.’ But now, I genuinely love her. She has the calmness, compassion, and patience I’ve been searching for, while I brought the wildness and craziness she needed. We balanced each other out in the most unexpected way.”
