After two years Ramnavami procession to be taken out on Sunday, helicopter to shower flowers

Ranchi: Due to the Corona pandemic the procession of Ramnavmi could not be taken out for the last two years however this year in view of the declining cases of Coronavirus the government has given permission to take out the procession.

Ramnavami will be celebrated in the country on 10th April this year. As part of the festivities, processions will also be taken out on the streets of Ranchi. On its part, the Mahavir Mandal has made grand preparations for the procession.

As per the plan, the processions will be taken out from all the areas of the city from 1:30 pm on Sunday which will reach Albert Ekka Chowk by 5:30 pm. From there all of them will move towards Ram Mandir Tapovan. Mahavir Mandal President Jai Singh Yadav said that this time flowers will be showered by helicopter during the procession. Yadav said that 20 teams have been assigned the responsibility for the procession.

A list of 41 tableaux has come, in which the tableaux coming from Mathura and Vrindavan will be special. He said that a request has also been made to make elaborate arrangements in government and private hospitals. Jaisingh Yadav said that 150 big and 50 small vehicles have been asked for the procession and tableau. Sagar Kumar, vice-president of Shri Mahavir Mandal Dal, said that since the year 1929, no new license (tableau) has been given till now. In view of the population of Ranchi, there will be a demand to issue new licenses in Ram Navami next year.

The procession will be led by Jaisingh Yadav along with other office bearers of Mahavir Mandal. A team of respected members has been formed, which includes 20 people including MP Sanjay Seth, and MLA CP Singh. Ram Navami procession will leave from Pandara, Bajra, Badgai, Hotwar, Lowadih, Chutia, Pundag and will proceed towards Tapovan Ram Mandir via Mahavir Chowk, Shaheed Chowk, Albert Ekka Chowk, Sarjana Chowk, Kali Mandir Chowk.
