Ranchi: A hearing was held in the High Court on a petition demanding that the Brahma temple located on Tagore Hill in Ranchi be declared a national heritage.
After hearing the arguments of all the parties, the court has reserved its decision.
Earlier, in the affidavit filed by the Archaeological Survey of India in the High Court, it has been informed that the Brahma temple situated atop Tagore Hill cannot be declared as a national heritage. It does not meet the criteria to be declared a national heritage.
Also it does not have artistic historical features.
During the hearing held on Monday, Additional Advocate General Ashutosh Anand, appearing on behalf of the state government, said that after the approval of the Archaeological Department of India, the work of repairing Tagore Hill has started.
69 lakh 30 thousand rupees have been approved by the state government for this.
A hearing was held in the court of Chief Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra and Justice Anand Sen.
