Ranchi: In view of the Rail Chakka Jam movement of Kudmi Vikas Morcha, Ranchi district administration has been on alert.
According to an official, section 144 has been imposed by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Sadar, in the entire Silli zone area from 6 pm on Tuesday till further orders regarding the Rail Roko movement at Muri Railway Station. To maintain law and order and security, Ranchi DC and the Senior Superintendent of Police have directed to deploy security forces on deputation of Magistrate at all the identified places including Muri Railway Station.
An order has also been issued to do videography of the entire movement. Orders have been issued to the concerned police station in-charges to identify anti-social elements and take preventive action. To maintain peace, magistrates will be deployed at Singhpur Chowk, Jharkhand Mod, Jharkhand- Bengal border, near Barjo bridge, Bada Muri near Union Bank, near Railway Hospital, protest site, Muri Railway Station, in front of Silli police station and other necessary places.
Along with this, police officers and security forces have been deputed. Silli’s BDO, CO and Deputy Superintendent of Police were instructed to maintain law and order and peace in the entire area by being mobile and establishing mutual coordination.
All the concerned police stations in charge of Ranchi have been ordered to identify the places in their respective areas where law and order may be affected in view of the rail traffic jam. Civil Surgeon, Ranchi has been ordered to depute one ambulance each with medical team, necessary equipment and life-saving medicines at the above site.
Sadar Sub-Divisional Officer and Ranchi Superintendent of Police Rural are in overall charge of law and order, who have been instructed to make all necessary arrangements for law and order by ensuring additional deputation from their level as per requirement.
