Chaibasa, Aug 27: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the members of the tribal community needed to be aware against any attack or conspiracy on the culture and tradition which has been handed over by the fore fathers and said that Sarna and Sanatan Dharma are complimentary of each other and are incomplete without one another.
Addressing the members of the tribal community during a function organized by Khudkhu Sarna Jagran Manch in Anandpur block of the West Singhbhum district he said that the youth of the community needed to be more vigilant on the issue.
As long as culture has been there in the world but these religions have been existing, Mr Das said adding that since the ancient era the tribals have been present on the earth and have been worshipping the nature. He said that the festival of Karma teaches environment protection and also gives the message of doing good work in life so that the life can be made more happier.
Mr Das said that Jharkhand was the land of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and Karthik Oraon and said that Birsa Munda from the land of Chaibasa had blown the trumpet of ‘ulgulan’ for protecting the tradition and culture of the tribals. He said that it was the responsibility and moral work of all to follow the ideals of Birsa Abaa. He said that in the upcoming budget a separate provision would be made for building Akharas in all tribal areas so that the people can organize cultural and religious programmes.
The Chief Minister said that the government was working for the development of the state and has accorded the focus on agriculture, irrigation, education, health care, power, drinking water and roads connectivity. He said that for industrial development in Manoharpur block of Chaibasa and in Chatra district steel plant would be set up. He said that there were plans to develop on the likes of Chaibasa in the next two years and added that the government was trying to bring changes in the lives of the poor.
Speaking on the occasion Chaibasa MP Laxman Giluwa said that members of the Khudkhu and Ho tribes worship the nature and said that language and tradition was the identity of these people for which the responsibility lies on all to seriously protect them. He said that the central and the state government have launched various schemes for the development of the tribals.
