Two students drown while trying to click selfie at Johna falls

Ranchi, Aug 10: Couple of students lost their lives as they were
drowned in the Jonha Falls located in Angada block of this district.
People said that couple of boys and two girls were standing on a stone
after taking bath in the river and while trying to click a selfie one
of the boys fell after which another boy and a girl fell into the
water of the fall. The villagers jumped to the rescue but only the
girl could be saved.

The workers of the tourism department who were present on the spot
with the help of the villagers took out the two bodies. The deceased
have been identified as Sameer Vishwakarma, a resident of Kokar and
Marwari Inter College the other was identified as Divyan Bhattacharya
a resident of Bank colony Kokar. Divyan was a student of Surendra Nath
School.

Both the boys were the only sons of their respective families and were
childhood friends also. The villagers said that the boys alongwith the
girls had entered the fall with other names and had come on their
respective two-wheelers.
