Ranchi: The door-to-door distribution, collection and digitisation of Enumeration Forms under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 of the electoral roll is progressing across Ranchi district in line with the directions of the Election Commission of India.
Following the instructions of Ranchi District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) began visiting households across all Assembly constituencies early in the morning to distribute Enumeration Forms to eligible voters.
The Deputy Commissioner has directed BLOs to maximise morning visits, as most residents are available at home during that time. The initiative is aimed at ensuring wider voter outreach, faster form distribution and timely collection.
He has also instructed officials to carry out the digitisation of the collected Enumeration Forms during the afternoon. Running the distribution, collection and digitisation processes simultaneously is expected to improve efficiency and help complete the Special Intensive Revision within the stipulated timeline.
On Sunday, BLOs actively visited homes across the district, interacted with voters and provided them with the necessary guidance while distributing the forms.
The district administration has appealed to all eligible voters to cooperate with BLOs by filling out the Enumeration Forms accurately and submitting them promptly. Officials said public participation is essential for the successful completion of the Special Intensive Revision of the electoral roll.
