Mumbai: Actress Anjali Anand has shared a fun behind-the-scenes memory from the sets of Dhamaal 4, revealing how her admiration for co-star Riteish Deshmukh helped break the ice during their first meeting.
Speaking about their first interaction, Anjali said she immediately told Riteish how much she loved his films and still remembered many of his iconic dialogues. According to her, the actor was pleasantly surprised that she could recall so many of his memorable lines.
She added that the conversation became even more entertaining when she mentioned one of her favourite moments from his 2011 film Heyy Babyy, recalling a popular dialogue from the movie. The reference left both actors laughing and helped create an instant rapport on set.
Talking about Dhamaal 4, Anjali said the film revives the nostalgic charm of fun-filled, chaotic family entertainers. She described it as an adventure comedy, a genre she believes has become rare in Bollywood.
“It’s not a horror comedy or an action comedy. Dhamaal is probably the only adventure comedy franchise we have, and audiences will get to experience that once again,” she said, adding that the film is suitable for family audiences and avoids vulgar humour.
In Dhamaal 4, Anjali stars opposite Riteish Deshmukh. Directed by Indra Kumar, the fourth instalment of the popular Dhamaal franchise features an ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Jaaved Jaaferi, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Upendra Limaye, Anjali Anand, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Esha Gupta and Vijay Patkar.
The comedy entertainer is slated to hit theatres on July 10, 2026.
