Ramgarh: With rising temperatures putting pressure on water resources, the Ramgarh district administration has stepped up efforts to ensure that people do not face any shortage of drinking water. Acting on state government directives, Deputy Commissioner Rituraj has initiated a special campaign from May 2 to May 15, 2026, aimed at strengthening water supply systems across both rural and urban areas.
Field Inspections and Ground Monitoring
On Saturday, the DC conducted surprise inspections at special camps set up in different locations, including Rajkiyakrit Utkrimit Middle School in Sandi (Bharechnagar) under the नगर परिषद area and Chadi Panchayat in Gola block. During the visits, he reviewed ongoing work related to water supply, including hand pumps and solar-based systems.
Officials were directed to ensure that complaints received at these camps are resolved promptly. The DC stressed that even issues requiring more time should be identified on priority and addressed without delay, with regular updates provided to the complainants.
Direct Interaction with Citizens
During the inspection, Rituraj interacted directly with local residents, listening to their concerns regarding water availability. Villagers and urban residents highlighted multiple issues, to which the DC responded by instructing department officials to take immediate corrective action and ensure quick resolution.
Top Priority: Drinking Water Availability
Emphasizing the seriousness of the situation, the DC stated that ensuring access to safe drinking water during the summer season remains the administration’s top priority. He called for better coordination among departments and instructed officials to conduct regular field visits, assess the condition of water sources, and arrange alternative solutions wherever necessary.
Administration in Action
The initiative reflects a proactive approach by the district administration to tackle seasonal water challenges. Senior officials, including Deputy Development Commissioner Ashish Agarwal and other departmental officers, were present during the inspections, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to providing relief to the public.
