Akansha Ranjan Kapoor opens up on egg freezing ordeal: “It felt like a balloon inside me”

Mumbai: Actress Akansha Ranjan Kapoor has candidly spoken about the physical challenges she faced during her egg freezing journey, describing it as far more uncomfortable than she had anticipated.

In a conversation with Soha Ali Khan on the podcast All About Her, Akansha shared that the process left her in significant discomfort and fatigue. She explained that while not everyone experiences the same intensity, she personally struggled with pain and bloating.

Recalling her experience, the actress said she often couldn’t even stand straight, likening the sensation to having a “big balloon” inside her stomach. Routine movement became difficult, and even short walks—like going from her apartment to her sister’s—felt overwhelming during certain days of the cycle.

Akansha also revealed that despite being advised to stay active with light walking, there were days when even that wasn’t possible due to the discomfort. She clarified that the feeling wasn’t like typical menstrual cramps, but rather a constant heaviness and bloating that made her feel physically drained.

Her remarks shed light on the lesser-discussed realities of egg freezing, including the hormonal and physical toll it can take, offering a more personal perspective on reproductive choices and medical procedures.
