Jamshedpur Imposes Traffic Curbs Ahead of JPSC Exam, Heavy Vehicles Restricted

Jamshedpur: Ahead of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) Eligibility Examination 2024, the district administration has announced special traffic arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the exam on Sunday.

According to official orders, all heavy vehicles—except buses—will not be allowed to enter the city between 12 pm and 6 pm. The directive has been jointly implemented by the Deputy Commissioner, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), and the Traffic DSP.

Authorities said the move is intended to ease congestion and facilitate hassle-free movement for the large number of candidates expected to appear for the examination.

Traffic personnel will be stationed at major junctions across the city to manage vehicular flow and enforce the restrictions strictly.

The administration has appealed to commuters and transport operators to plan their travel in advance and cooperate with officials during the specified hours, as part of efforts to maintain order and avoid disruptions on exam day.
