Ramgarh: The district earned significant recognition at a state-level event held at Khelgaon Indoor Stadium in Ranchi under the Chief Minister’s Panchayat Incentive Award Scheme. The programme was chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, where Ramgarh was honoured for outstanding performance in grassroots governance.
Deputy Commissioner Rituraj expressed happiness over the achievement and credited the success to the coordinated efforts of officials and staff. He also acknowledged the contributions of former Deputy Commissioner Faiz Ak Ahmed Mumtaz, Deputy Development Commissioner Ashish Agarwal, District Panchayati Raj Officer Nisha Kumari Singh, and teams at district and block levels.
For the year 2024–25, Ramgarh secured top and notable rankings in several categories:
- First place in the Best District Council category
- Dulmi block ranked first in the Best Block Council category
- Gola block secured first place in the Clean and Healthy Block category
- Patratu (Kander) and Ichatu (Dulmi) ranked 31st and 32nd respectively in the Best Village Assembly category
- Korambe (Gola) secured 17th place in the Clean and Healthy Village Council category
- Bariatu (Gola) achieved fourth place in the Best Village Council category
The Deputy Commissioner said the recognition reflects strong teamwork, commitment to public welfare, and effective implementation of development programmes at the grassroots level.
The event saw participation from representatives and officials from across the state, where best practices in sanitation, governance, innovation, and public participation were highlighted and appreciated.
