Deoghar: Ahead of the Jharkhand Eligibility Test (JET) 2026, the district administration held a detailed briefing on Wednesday at the Suchna Bhawan Auditorium. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Shashi Prakash Singh, focusing on ensuring a fair and transparent examination process under the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC).
Addressing officials, center superintendents, and magistrates, the Deputy Commissioner made it clear that the integrity of the examination is non-negotiable. He stressed that a strict “zero tolerance” policy will be enforced, warning that anyone found involved in malpractice will face stringent legal action.

Key Directions Issued:
- Inspection of Examination Centers:
All center superintendents and magistrates have been instructed to visit their assigned centers in advance and submit reports on essential facilities such as electricity, drinking water, seating arrangements, and security. - Public Awareness:
The District Public Relations Officer (DPRO) has been directed to install banners at key locations and entrance gates of all centers, clearly displaying exam rules, prohibited items, and penalties. - Enhanced Vigilance:
For the examination scheduled on April 26, 2026, patrolling teams and static magistrates will remain on duty throughout the duration to ensure strict monitoring. - Security and Frisking:
CCTV surveillance will be mandatory at all centers. Thorough frisking of candidates by both male and female security personnel at entry points has been made compulsory. - Ban on Electronic Devices:
Mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, and all electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited inside examination halls. The DC warned that any lapse during checking will invite accountability.
The meeting was attended by key district officials, including the District Transport Officer, District Land Acquisition Officer, District Public Relations Officer, Assistant Public Relations Officer, along with magistrates, center superintendents, and other concerned personnel.
